Meditation Apps & Podcasts

We've compiled a list below of some of our favourite meditation apps and podcasts to assist beginners if you're not sure where to start, as well as for advanced or regular meditators who'd like to expand their practice. We update this page as new meditation apps are created or recommended, as well as our Meditation Apps & Podcasts album on our facebook page.
Often times the hardest step in approaching meditation is knowing where to start. Meditation Australia member, Frances Kelly has created two user friendly apps to introduce both children and adults to meditation by means of 5 and 10 minute guided sessions. Available for both Android and iPhone, these apps are an excellent introduction to the practice. 

    Smiling Mind is a not-for-profit organisation that works to make mindfulness meditation accessible to all. Co-developed with psychologists and health professionals the Smiling Mind app is designed for all age groups and demographics. It has modules for General Well being, Education and the Workplace and addresses a range of issues from stress management and relationship building to communication skills and sports performance improvement.
  Insight Timer is my favourite meditation app with over 5,000 meditations in every type imaginable from relaxation and mindfulness to binaural beats and singing bowl meditations.
  The Hay House Podcast contains over 100 meditations covering all topics from physical and emotional well being to mantra, chakra balancing and  insight meditations.
 The Be Here Now Network (on Soundcloud) includes Podcasts from people like Jack Kornfield, Sharon Salzberg and Ram Dass.
